Our staff of professionals is trained in everything from the latest medical care and therapies to healthy and delicious meal preparation. Yet we make room for compassionate connections with residents to take precedence over the necessities of our job descriptions.
We are skilled professionals, yes. And we are here to connect with you in the spontaneous moments that make your life (and ours) more meaningful.
Executive Director: Carrie Velliquette
Carrie holds a Bachelor's in Communication from The Ohio State University, is a Certified Dementia Practitioner and Trainer and a Level 2 ServSafe Manager. She has served as an Executive Director for 14 years, including traveling management of multiple communities, company-wide Certified Dementia Practitioner training and has opened three new construction communities.
Carrie believes in being fully present and available for her residents, families and team members. "I love being a true support in the good times and hard times that come in everyone's lives. I once had a gentleman who was struggling with his wife's dementia. There were some family dynamics that had him struggling to communicate the help he needed. I worked with him to ensure he was getting the personal support, respect and compassion he needed, while his wife was getting the best care possible. We built a bond I will never forget. This is the kind of role I believe we are here to serve in making seniors' lives, and their families' lives, better."
Community Relations Director: Tess Muhlberg
Tess holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology and is a Certified Dementia Practitioner. She began her career working with children and families and has always wanted to focus her energy on helping people.
"One of my most memorable experiences working with seniors and families included two adult daughters who were concerned about their parents' safety at home. They finally convinced their parents to tour our community, but that morning called crying, frustrated and worried. By the end of the tour, their parents called this their home and were ready to move in. There were a lot of happy tears this time, and the couple became some of our most engaged, happy residents. I get to meet some amazing people and share in their interesting, heartwarming stories." Tess has an 18-month old daughter, an eight-year old rescue pup and has been married for 10 years.

"I have the heart and nature of a social worker who discovered my love for working with seniors. Early in my career, I was working in a senior living community as a Nurse's Aide in order to be close to my grandparents. Now my role is to plan activities and special events to help our residents feel engaged, socialize and have fun. I am the Director of Fun! And in the course of what I do, I really enjoy building relationships and spending time with quite remarkable people." Cathleen has two wonderful 20-something sons and an equally wonderful (and beautiful) daughter-in-law.
Business Office Manager: Dusti Wears

"I have always been interested in working with seniors. I would go to work with my mom when I was younger, just after she began her nursing career, and I would volunteer in activities and dining services. When I turned 16, I applied to work in the same community. One of the most memorable experiences? Throwing a graduation party for a resident who never got to experience her own. Her family was so happy and there were happy tears all around. We are here to help residents, families and friends enjoy their lives together." Dusti has been happily married to her husband, Shawn for four years and has three children and three dog-children.

I'm really looking forward to bringing my love and passion for food and dining to the people here at the Bristol. Family is very important to me and I enjoy cooking and spending time with my children and creating that same love, warmth and hospitality for our residents."
