Our staff of professionals is trained in everything from the latest medical care and therapies to healthy and delicious meal preparation. Yet we make room for compassionate connections with residents to take precedence over the necessities of our job descriptions.
We are skilled professionals, yes. And we are here to connect with you in the spontaneous moments that make your life (and ours) more meaningful.
Community Relations Director: Tess Muhlberg
Tess holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology and is a Certified Dementia Practitioner. She began her career working with children and families and has always wanted to focus her energy on helping people.
"One of my most memorable experiences working with seniors and families included two adult daughters who were concerned about their parents' safety at home. They finally convinced their parents to tour our community, but that morning called crying, frustrated and worried. By the end of the tour, their parents called this their home and were ready to move in. There were a lot of happy tears this time, and the couple became some of our most engaged, happy residents. I get to meet some amazing people and share in their interesting, heartwarming stories." Tess has an 18-month old daughter, an eight-year old rescue pup and has been married for 10 years.
Community Relations Director: Leslie Joseph
Leslie studied in Northwest Ohio and moved to Columbus in 1982. She began working in Senior Living in 2014, after guiding her mother-in-law's search for an Assisted Living community.
"After helping my mother-in-law, I realized how important it was to find a place that respected seniors and gave them the dignity they deserve. This was a new chapter in her life, and it could be as fulfilling as the ones before it. I've been on both sides of the search process and understand the need for education on options and care. It's a blessing to be in this role, to hear about our residents' past and be a part of their future. I'm so proud to work for this community." Leslie and her husband, Gary, live in Delaware County and have four adult children and eight grandchildren. Mollie, their 7lb Shih Tzu, is also a valued member of their family.
Activities Director: Cathleen Denti
Cathleen has a degree in Social Work from The Ohio State University, is a State Tested Nursing Assistant and is a Certified Dementia Practitioner who has worked in senior advocacy for more than 10 years.
"I have the heart and nature of a social worker who discovered my love for working with seniors. Early in my career, I was working in a senior living community as a Nurse's Aide in order to be close to my grandparents. Now my role is to plan activities and special events to help our residents feel engaged, socialize and have fun. I am the Director of Fun! And in the course of what I do, I really enjoy building relationships and spending time with quite remarkable people." Cathleen has two wonderful 20-something sons and an equally wonderful (and beautiful) daughter-in-law.
Business Office Manager: Dusti Wears
Dusti has been a nurse's aid (STNA) since 1997 and is a Certified Dementia Practitioner. She has served in the healthcare field since she was 16 years old, in positions ranging from housekeeping, STNA, Activities Director and Business Office Manager.
"I have always been interested in working with seniors. I would go to work with my mom when I was younger, just after she began her nursing career, and I would volunteer in activities and dining services. When I turned 16, I applied to work in the same community. One of the most memorable experiences? Throwing a graduation party for a resident who never got to experience her own. Her family was so happy and there were happy tears all around. We are here to help residents, families and friends enjoy their lives together." Dusti has been happily married to her husband, Shawn for four years and has three children and three dog-children.
Executive Chef: Jolly Vivas
Jolly was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela and relocated to Ohio with her family five years ago. She is a graduate of Universidad Santa Maria, with a degree in Civil Engineering. Her passion for cooking began early at home and evolved as she served as a Prep/Line Cook, Pastry Chef and Sous Chef at a sister Traditions community.
"I realized after being here for a time, that I can impact our residents' lives and make them happy. That feeds my soul. I love to talk with each of them about their family recipes and find a way to work each one into our menu. These recipes hold happy memories for them and make each of them feel like they're home." Jolly and her husband, Julio, have been married for 17 years and have a daughter, Valentina, who is 13. Jolly also has a stepson, Daniel, who is 22 and lives in Barcelona, Spain.
